Welcome to Providence Physical Therapy

Your slowing metabolism won't fix itself

The aging process brings with it a loss of strength in the muscle and metabolism needed for speed and heavy lifting.  This is why people are more likely to notice a change in their metabolism before they notice a change in what they can do, but this is also key to why older adults are more likely to fall.

...and can contribute to diabetes, depression, and other chronic conditions;

A slowing metabolism is more than an annoyance; it is at the root of many of the unwelcome changes with aging. Because of the exercise intensity needed to combat a slowing metabolism, most have put up with the gradual changes that lead to a loss of strength and independence.

our patients are increasing their metabolism and regaining strength with our first-to-market combination of science-based tools

For years we have been refining this approach by conducting our own research. We have found that using metabolism as the signal for how to approach strengthening provides the best results. Now we are launching this program through a series of focus groups.

Be Well Initiative

Providence PT is launching our Be Well Initiative program that is a culmination of years of study, human subject research, and successful implementation of this approach in a small population.

Our initial goal is to make sure this program is tailored to the needs of middle and older adults living in the Wichita area.

Would you be willing to participate in our focus group?

Focus groups will occur monthly, and those participating can either be reimbursed for their time ($20 per session) or receive a discount ($100 per month) towards a twice-weekly exercise program tailored to your metabolism.

Those who participate in the exercise program will receive:

  • Membership to the Heskett Center for the semester
  • Periodized exercise program based on your anaerobic and aerobic metabolism
  • Weekly guided exercise sessions with a physical therapist.
  • Discount rate for you and one other family member for individualized PT sessions.
    • Individualized sessions are $50 per 15-minutes; discount is 50% off this price.
